This paper takes an old hotel in Urumqi, Xinjiang, China, as the research object, conducts a field investigation and attempts to understand the current situation of the hotel by fully considering the local climate
The energy-saving retrofit measures of 15 existing hotels in Jiangsu Province, China, are used as a case study to demonstrate the research framework. The results indicate
Among thousands of cases, the hybrid solar and wind system consisting of 537 kW PV panels, 10 wind turbines (1,000 kW), 395 batteries (2,729.45 kWh) and a 150 kW
Excited to announce the successful operation of CNTE latest C&I ESS project—a 1MW/2MWh energy storage system installed at the InterContinental Hotels in Shanghai! This
The understanding and applications of these findings refer to the Chinese hotel building retrofits; however, the research approach and analytical framework could be applied to
Solar panels and solar heat pipe collectors harvest and store enough energy to meet 70 percent of the hotel''s energy needs. The solar water heating installation at Sun-Moon
Energy retrofit measures (ERMs) were explored by eQuest software, using the example of an existing four-star hotel in Tianjin, China. The study investigates predictive
Mentioning: 4 - With the improvement of China''s economic strength, the energy consumption of public buildings is continually increasing, notably for hotels. The energy consumptin of a hotel
• Meet the rising demand for hotels due to China''s active promotion of domestic tourism. • Utilize scalable, repeatable hotel technology solutions that meet brand standards. • Comply with the
The suitable energy-saving retrofit technologies for existing hotels were proposed, offering choice of energy-saving retrofit for similar public buildings in hot summer and cold winter areas. 1. Introduction The energy consumption of existing buildings is an important part of the total energy consumption of buildings.
Take Hotel 6 as an example to show the changes in the proportion of energy consumption of each subsystem of the hotel before and after the retrofit. After the retrofit, the total energy consumption has been reduced by 30.5%, of which the proportion of energy consumption of lighting system has dropped significantly.
As each hotel had adopted the retrofit technology of monitoring and control system, it is possible to analyze the energy saving situation of hotels after the retrofit based on the energy consumption data from the monitoring system from January of 2016 to December of 2016 (the first year after transformation).
In this study, the efficacy of energy-saving retrofitting of existing hotel buildings was examined. The hotel energy consumption characteristic was analyzed via an energy consumption survey, and energy saving benefits were evaluated via field tests and mathematical statistics analysis.
The energy cost is increasing year by year. The main energy consumption system of hotel building is composed of air conditioning, living hot water supply, kitchen, lighting and power system, therefore, the research is aimed at the analysis of the common energy-saving transformation technology in the existing hotel buildings. Table 2.
6. Conclusion This research analyzed the cases of retrofit of existing hotel buildings in Jiangsu Province, which is located in the hot summer and cold winter area, and proposed a post-evaluation method for retrofit of such buildings.
